Verona. Order against the consumption of food in the street

The July 18, 2007 came into force on Ordinance No. 65, July 10, 2007, better known as "antipanino order."

But is it really correct to call it?

The order signed by Mayor Flavio Tosi tends to some disciplinary actions against public health, public health, the dignity and image of the city. Behaviors which is already largely prohibited by police regulations Urbana.

Prohibited actions, detailed in the order listed, are as follows:

  • litter the ground;
  • camp out in places not intended for that purpose;
  • do bodily needs in public places;
  • wash and wash things and animals in the fountains;
  • walk in the streets bare-chested or in a case not decent;
  • consume food "take away" (sandwiches, pizzas, toasts etc..) near the entrances of the monuments and any supplemental stairways access (see Barbieri and Gran Guardia Palace).

Nothing new, so if it were not for the last item in the list above. This is the relevant section of the ordinance prohibits to consume food "takeaway" (sandwiches, pizzas, toasts etc..) near the entrances of monuments and any supplemental stairway (see Barbieri and Gran Guardia Palace ).

The penalty for those who do not comply with the order is € 50.00.

define this new measure is that "the order antipanino" is extremely limited, since it is covered a much wider repertoire of behaviors that have to do with public health, public health, dignity and image of the city.
